Do you qualify?
You may qualify if you:
- Are a Grand Island resident
- Are a U.S. citizen or qualified non-citizen
- Have a gross monthly income at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level
- Meet work requirements (if applicable — many exemptions exist)

What you get
A monthly benefit loaded onto an EBT (Electronic Benefit Transfer) card, which works like a debit card at grocery stores and farmers' markets. Average monthly benefit: $234 per person. There is no cost to apply, receive, or use SNAP benefits.

You can also visit any Family Resource Center in person.
What to bring when you apply
- Photo ID
- Proof of income (pay stubs, benefits letters)
- Proof of housing costs (rent receipt, lease, utility bills)
- Social Security numbers for household members
