Environmental Health Specialist II
What you'll do
You will conduct food safety inspections of restaurants, mobile food facilities, and commercial kitchens. You will investigate foodborne illness complaints, enforce state and local food safety regulations, and educate business owners on compliance requirements. This position includes both office work and daily fieldwork across Grand Island and Erie County.
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in environmental health, biology, chemistry, or related field
- Valid Registered Environmental Health Specialist (REHS) certificate
- 2 years of experience in environmental health inspection or regulation
- Valid driver's license
Preferred qualifications
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Experience with hazardous materials inspections
- ServSafe Manager certification
