Details & Background

Maple Road is a major East-West arterial road that carries approximately 8,500 vehicles daily. A recent pavement condition index (PCI) assessment rated this segment of Maple Road as "Poor" (42 out of 100) due to severe potholing, asphalt fatigue cracking, and drainage deterioration.

Repaving will restore the road surface, improve stormwater run-off, and extend the service life of the road by 15 years. The scope of work includes:

  • Milling 2 inches of existing damaged asphalt
  • Base repairs in areas with subgrade failure
  • Applying a new 2-inch hot-mix asphalt surface course
  • Upgrading 4 pedestrian curb ramps to meet ADA compliance standards
  • Re-striping lanes, bike lanes, and high-visibility crosswalks
