Boil water advisory — Oakdale area

A water main break affected the water supply in the Oakdale area. While the advisory was in effect, residents were told not to drink, cook with, or brush teeth with tap water.

What residents were told to do

  1. Residents were told to boil all tap water for at least one minute before drinking, cooking, making ice, or brushing teeth.
  2. They were told to use bottled water if boiling was not possible.
  3. They were told not to use water from hot water heaters, which might not reach safe temperatures.

Affected area

All addresses in the Oakdale area. Specifically: properties served by the Oakdale Water District main along Maple Avenue between Centerville Road and Route 9.
